This policy describes how Magic Log ("we", "us", or "our") handles personal information when you use the Magic Log mobile app. By using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Account data. Email address and authentication credentials, handled by Supabase.
- Apprenticeship data. Trade type, period, work orders, hours logged, and progress information you enter into the app.
- Voice recordings. Audio recorded via Voice Log is processed to extract text. Recordings are not stored on our servers after transcription.
- Photos. Photos taken via Photo Log are processed by AI to identify tasks. Photos may be stored in your account for record-keeping purposes.
- SMS signing data. When you request a mentor signature, the app opens your native SMS app. We do not intercept or store SMS message content.
- Subscription data. Purchase and subscription status handled by RevenueCat and Apple. We do not store payment card details.
- Usage data. Standard app analytics (feature usage, crash reports) to improve the service.
2. How we use information
We use the information above to operate the app, generate AIT-compliant PDFs, authenticate users, process subscriptions, and improve Magic Log.
3. Third-party services

4. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and data by contacting us at the email below.
5. Security
We use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us and we will respond in line with applicable law.
7. Children
Magic Log is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any revisions.
